This Barcelona Tour of the old town gives you views of the city from a different perspective. As well as discovering the history and stories which lie within the narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter, this tour includes the chance to climb to the top of the Santa Maria del Pi church, from where you will experience incredible views over the city.
The Santa Maria del Pi church stands firm as an important historical building; there has been a church stood on this site as long ago as the 5th century but the current basilica of Santa Maria del Pi was built between 1319 and 1391, in the Catalan Gothic style.
During this Old Town walk you will also visit:
Sant Felip Neri
Plaça Sant Felip Neri is built on the grounds of a medieval cemetery. The baroque church on its premises was built in 1752, and today serves to remind people of a tragic history.
Work began on the building during the Romanesque period, but it was finished according to Gothic artistic principles, which was the prevailing style at the time of its completion
No visit to the old Town or Barrio Gotico would be complete without a visit to Las Ramblas, Barcleona’s most famous boulevard. Full of life and colour, you can expect to marvel at buildings such as the Liceu Theatre, admire the artists' work and maybe even be privy to a street performance.
This is a small group tour, with a maximum of 12 guests in the group at any time, so you can easily interact with your guide and enjoy and in depth tour of this area.
