Barcelona Transport

In Barcelona there is a wide range of transport for you to use while on your holiday or stag and hen weekends, including buses, the metro system, taxi services and even rickshaws.

Barcelona Busses

There are plenty of busses in Barcelona for you to get around in and you can catch most of them from Plaça Catalunya at the top end of La Rambla. A single journey costs from 1 Euro 5 centimos (79p). Barcelona busses normally run from 06.00 until 22.00. You can also use the T-10 card which you can buy from all metro stations and can also be used on the Barcelona busses. Night busses run throughout the night and generally run every 20 minutes from Plaça Catalunya.

Barcelona Metro System

The Barcelona metro system has five lines, all coloured-coded and numbered. You pay 1 Euro 10 centimos (84p) for a single ride, even if you change lines underground. Buying a T-10 card (tarjeta) gets you 10 rides for 6 Euros (£3.35).

Barcelona Taxis

The Barcelona taxis are black and yellow here in Barcelona. The pricing system is complicated, but teh starting fee is 2 Euroes (£1.35) on weekends, with 0.85 Euros (56p) per kilometre.
