The oldest and most famous Barcelona sand beach bordering on Sant Sebastia beach is also clean (marked with blue flag) but much noisier and interesting. It is very popular among young people because of great number of places for outdoor activities. Barcelona most active beach has grounds for playing tennis, volleyball, and football. You can also skateboard and roller-skate at Barcelonetta. Along the beach you can see a long row of Mexican restaurants, pizza places, and ?hiringuitos (Catalan bars).
You can easily find it: there are a number of bus stops and Ciutadella Vila Olimpica underground station nearby.
Inhabitants of Barcelona adore Sant Sebastia beach, the biggest beach of Barcelona. It is 1 km long and 80 m in width. Sant Sebastia is not far from port and you can easily get there on foot. Every day there are a lot of people there because the beach is free. You should only pay for sun loungers and beach umbrellas. In spite of the fact Sant Sebastia is public and free, the sand and water are clean apart from rare oil spots from the port.
You can sunbathe topless there, nobody say you a word.
Nudists like to sunbathe at the part of Sant Sebastia which is the nearest to the port.
