The Torre Agbar is a skyscraper near Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes in Barcelona. It was created by Jean Nouvel, a French architect, and erected by Dragados Company. The building was finished by the June of 2005and officially opened by the King of Spain on September, 16.
The Torre Agbar shape is alike the shape of 30 St. Mary Axe in London which is often called "Cucumber".
The Catalan "Cucumber" has 30, 000 m2 office area, 3,210 m2 of technical rooms, and 8,351 m2 of other rooms including a large concert hall. The Torre Agbar is 473.88 ft tall; it has 39 floors among which 4 underground levels.
You won't miss it having your Barcelona city tour. It has the third height among the buildings of Barcelona. Arts Hotel and Mapfre Tower are a little bit taller.
The main feature of the skyscraper is its night lightening. To create it 4,500 LED lights are used.
